Auditions will be held: October 14th & 15th 6:30pm in the Education Center (enter through the purple door next to Batavia Family Dental) Performance will be: December 13th & 14 at 7:30pm December 15th at 2pm Cast Requirements: Bob – Baritone; Part of a song & dance team; crooning style singing, moves well Phil – Bari-Tenor; Part of a song & dance team; more comic; strong jazz & tap dancing Betty – Rich chest voice with soprano extension; quiet beauty & charm; must move well Judy - Rich chest mix; sexy & flirty; strong jazz and tap dancing Martha – Belt voice; older and a former Broadway star; good sense of dry humor Susan – Girls between the age of 9-13; must look like a 9 – 10 year old Ralph – Fast talking NY professional associated with Ed Sullivan show Rita & Rhoda – Chorus girls; brash, sexy and fun Numerous named ensemble roles Male & Female ensemble of dancers that will also double in “extra” roles Audition Songs: Snow – All adults will audition on this song which begins with an SATB intro into men versus women singing as indicated Let Me Sing And I’m Happy (Reprise) – This is for the only child in the show, Susan. Only girls age 9-13 may audition; must look 8 – 9; include the spoken dialogue in auditions Women may select to sing one of the songs below: Let Me Sing And I’m Happy – Adult female audition role Love, You Didn’t Do Right By Me – Adult female audition role Men may select to sing one of the songs below: Happy Holiday – Adult male audition role – must audition on top, tenor notes The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing- Adult male audition role Dance Auditions: This is a heavy tap, jazz and ballroom dance show. Please bring dance shoes and be prepared to learn a routine. |
