Meet our new director!
Nicole Gayatri is thrilled to be working with Main St 56 Dance Company!
Nicole is an accomplished choreographer that has studied and won innumerable awards in jazz, tap, contemporary, ballet, hip hop, Broadway, character dance, as a cheer coach and choreographer for musicals.
Nicole worked professionally while she studied theater, costume design and choreography at the prestigious New Paltz University, and worked with many famous choreographers in New York City. She continued to work professionally in theater and teaching dance (including the American Standard Ballroom series and Burlesque) in NYC for 8 years.
After longing to live at the beach, Nicole moved to Costa Rica 10 years ago where she received her 200hr yoga training (EYRT). She brought her unique style and love of movement to Danyasa, StarLight Studios, Envision Festival and The Shala in Dominical. Nicole developed several movement modalities to empower women and help them to connect with their womb healing and confidence through dance. Her “Unleash Your Inner Goddess”, Yonicise, and Divine Alignment classes were hugely popular. She also became the choreographer for Junglee Theater Company.
Nicole is very excited to return to her hometown, and to be sharing her love of dance once again with the local community!
